Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović visited OSA and met with Director Osman Mehmedagić and the newly appointed leadership of the agency. Cooperation in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, corruption, and war crimes was discussed, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The highest officials of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, together with the leadership of OSA, discussed cooperation in prosecuting perpetrators of terrorist offenses, organized crime, corruption, war crimes, and all other criminal offenses within the jurisdiction of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and OSA BiH.
Special emphasis of the meeting was placed on activities in the fight against terrorism, in the context of recent events in BiH, and terrorism as a threat to the security of BiH citizens and global security, in which intelligence work is one of the priorities in the fight against terrorism and the detection and prevention of terrorist activities.
The meeting also discussed legal and technical modalities for improving cooperation and the efficiency of institutional cooperation, and enabling the use of evidence collected by the agency in criminal proceedings.
The BiH Prosecutor's Office and OSA are institutions with the same goal - to fight crime, prosecute and punish perpetrators of criminal offenses, and create a safer environment for the lives of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
