(Patria) - The sixteenth regular session of the Lukavac City Council (GV), scheduled for today starting at 9 AM, has been postponed due to a shooting at the Lukavac Grad Elementary School, in which a former student seriously wounded a teacher with a pistol.

GV President Suad Salibašić called on all citizens not to spread panic, given that the minor perpetrator of this unfortunate event has been arrested.

Salibašić states that there is no need for panic at this moment.

- Due to the new situation, we have canceled today's GV session. We believe it is not the time to hold a session today and that it is better for all our GV members, who are also employees of the Public Health Center, to dedicate themselves to their work and profession.

On our part, we will do everything to convey reassuring messages to our citizens. The most important thing is that the injured person receives adequate care and that his life is not in danger, and that the perpetrator has been arrested and apprehended, and that after all this, we thoroughly consider why this happened to us – Salibašić told the RTV Lukavac portal.

The public will be informed in a timely manner about the date of the next Lukavac GV session.
