US to send new military aid package worth $225 million to Kyiv

(Patria) - The US administration will send an additional military aid package to Ukraine worth about $225 million, TASS reported, citing AP.

The new package may include ammunition for the HIMARS rocket system, along with projectiles for the HAWK air defense system, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, 155 mm howitzers, armored vehicles, trailers, patrol boats, demolition materials, and a wide range of other spare parts and equipment.

At the end of April, US President Joe Biden signed a package of laws approved by the US Congress to continue arms deliveries to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The package was worth $95 billion. It includes $61 billion for Kyiv.

Immediately after Biden signed these laws, the Pentagon announced that it would send $1 billion worth of weapons and equipment to Ukraine. Washington then allocated the next arms delivery to Kyiv worth $400 million.
