(Patria) - In the operation "Tokyo," during which one of Europe's most wanted fugitives, Mladen Samardžija (33), was arrested, Tijana Tegeltija, the former wife of the former president of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milan Tegeltija, was also taken into custody, ATV has confirmed.
According to reports, members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) and the Organized and Serious Crime Directorate of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior found her in the apartment that Samardžija had rented at a hotel on Jahorina.
She had been in a relationship with the fugitive, who is on an Interpol wanted list, for some time, ATV unofficially learns.
Recall, Slovenia issued an international warrant for Samardžija because he is unavailable to the judicial authorities of that country, which are seeking him to conduct proceedings for organized crime and drug trafficking.
He is also suspected of the same crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior announced, the investigation against him was conducted in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it was documented that after fleeing Slovenia, Samardžija continued to lead an organized criminal group involved in international drug trafficking in the European Union, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro.
"The investigation documented the transport and sale of over 40 kilograms of cocaine and half a kilogram of heroin. So far, one kilogram of cocaine, 8,000 BAM, 122,580 euros, four pistols, a laptop, several mobile phones, a small amount of marijuana, 20 rounds of 9x19 mm ammunition, and several vehicles have been seized," the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior stated.
According to unofficial information, Samardžija organized the transport and sale of narcotics in the countries of the region through couriers from Slovenia.
