From KCUS to NAP: It is easier for patients to get their results at their local Health Center than to come again

The University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, led by Dr. Sebija Izetbegović, has finally shown that it respects the public, at least a little, writes the Patria News Agency.

Namely, it is known that KCUS does not respond to journalists' inquiries that they do not like, and simply ignore them, as evidenced by several complaints to the ombudsmen. However, today, after Patria wrote about how patients from KCUS are referred to the JU Health Centers KS to print their results, they reacted and sent their position.
 
It is true that they did not answer our questions, but they wrote that it is "their obligation to, in accordance with the previously implemented expensive computerization, electronically send patients their results that were done at KCUS".
 
- It is easier for them to get the results at their local Health Center and visit their doctor immediately than to come to KCUS again and wait for printed results. Of course, if the Health Center does not have a printer or paper, that is certainly not the responsibility of KCUS. The aforementioned has long been a practice in countries where computerization has been implemented. It is not about savings, but about simple and functional work that is the result and benefit of computerization - they said from KCUS.
 
However, they did not answer how it is possible that patients go to KCUS and back to the Health Center five times. KCUS says it is not their problem that Health Centers do not have paper or printers, and patients should hardly care who has paper or not. After all, the salaries of doctors are paid by these patients and all citizens of this country, who are increasingly struggling to access quality healthcare.
