NOVI TRAVNIK, (Patria) - Nermin Rustempašić, who hit five people with his car on December 7, 2018, killing two, has been sentenced to 15 years and six months in prison.
Rustempašić, while intoxicated, hit Azra Hajrić (30) and her four children: daughter Alma, son Eldar, and two other boys, as she was returning from training. Azra and Alma Hajrić died, while the boys sustained injuries.
A day of mourning was declared in Novi Travnik following this unprecedented tragedy, and local authorities and police were urged to more strictly control and punish drunk drivers.
