Russian Foreign Ministry describes Putin's trip to China as decisive for the future of the world

(Patria) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent visit to China should determine the future of the world,
said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

The trip laid the foundation for many years to come, she said on TVC television.

"These are significant steps that will determine the future not only of our region, but of the entire planet," she said.

Zakharova also said that relations between Russia and China are mostly seen as an alternative in the world.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said earlier on Saturday that Putin's visit to China confirmed that the comprehensive partnership relations between the countries surpass in quality the traditional alliances of the past era and continue to play a key role in maintaining international security and balanced global development.
