Russian drone attacks left tens of thousands without electricity, Zelensky announced revenge

(Patria) - Russian drones hit energy facilities in the south and north of Ukraine overnight, leaving nearly 60,000 people without electricity. The Odesa region was hit hardest, and similar attacks were recorded in Chernihiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv would retaliate with "deep strikes" on Russian territory. According to the Ukrainian army, Russia launched 142 drones, most of which were shot down, but ten locations were hit.

Moscow claims that a Ukrainian port, which it considers a military target, was attacked, while Kyiv says Russian forces have not captured any major cities despite claims of a successful summer offensive.
