Russian analyst Korbiko: Russia and China want to jointly push the US out of the Balkans

Some strategies are not hidden at all. Thus, Russian political analyst Andrey Korbiko says that the Balkan "Silk Road" is current, into which China is investing significant funds and which will economically strengthen all countries through which the route intended for trade exchange between Asia and Europe will pass, reports Patria agency.

- It is planned for trains to go from Budapest via Belgrade and Skopje to the Greek port of Piraeus. China will thus enable the Balkan countries to preserve their sovereignty and have an alternative to the European Union. All this worries the US, which fears losing influence in the Balkans, so it will be interesting to follow the situation in Macedonia, which is a very important point in the Balkan "Silk Road" project that the US wants to fail. If chaos or hybrid war breaks out in Macedonia, anything is possible - Korbiko said.

- Russia and China are working hand in hand to free the Balkans from unipolar influence. We must not forget that China is Russia's strategic partner number one. Although Russian influence may not be so visible in relation to the projects being implemented, it is quite strong. China has taken a leading role in infrastructure projects that Russia strongly supports - said Andrey Korbiko.
