(Patria) - Flooding tunnels in the Gaza Strip could be considered genocide, said Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya, TASS agency reported.
"Such actions can be qualified as one of the elements of genocide, according to the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide," he said at a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East.
Let us recall, Israel previously announced that it might flood tunnels under Gaza, which according to their claims belong to Hamas.
