(Patria) - Three militants who were planning terrorist attacks were detained on Sunday during an anti-terrorist operation in Dagestan in southern Russia, the information center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) reported, according to the TASS news agency.
"This morning, security forces arrested three bandits in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk who were planning a series of terrorist crimes," the statement said.
During the arrests, automatic weapons, ammunition and an improvised explosive device were found, they added.
The NAC stated that no civilians or police officers were injured.
