Russia: Washington seeks to reshape the energy landscape to suit its own needs

(Patria) - The United States is seeking to reshape the energy landscape to suit its own needs in order to solve its economic problems, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said yesterday for the daily Izvestia, TASS reported.

"The United States, which, as everyone now sees, is reshaping the energy landscape, not politically, but the energy landscape, to suit its own needs. They are making, or want to make, everything dependent on their own resources, both physically and in terms of price, for obvious reasons: their critical economic situation and huge national debt have clearly brought the US leadership into a depressive situation: the country, the United States, is essentially bankrupt," she said.

"They are trying to solve their own problems using methods that are completely outside international legal norms. The Kyiv regime is, in essence, a tool for dealing with or implementing all these adventures," Zakharova added.
