Russia: We are making a compromise text of the resolution

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Russia and other permanent members of the UN Security Council are trying to create a compromise text of the resolution on Srebrenica, reports the Patria news agency.

- From the beginning, we wanted the resolution to express support for the Dayton Process, said Gennady Gatilov, as reported by the Russian state media Sputnik.

- Returning to all that story again and determining who is guilty of genocide, moreover, placing the blame on an entire nation, specifically Serbs, we consider counterproductive.

Meanwhile, representatives of Great Britain and the USA sent the seventh draft text of the resolution on Srebrenica to the Russian delegation in the United Nations Security Council. These are revised parts of the sixth draft resolution on which there was no agreement yesterday, so the session of this UN body was postponed three times.
