(Patria) - Russia launched airstrikes on southern and eastern Ukraine overnight using drones and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian air force reported early Tuesday.
The southern port of Odesa and the Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro regions were under threat of attack from Russian drones, the air force announced on the Telegram messaging app.
It added that Russia may be using ballistic weapons to attack the Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Kirovohrad regions.
The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, said that local air defense systems were engaged in repelling the attack by Russian drones.
"There is a possibility of several waves of attacks," Kiper said on Telegram.
