Russia has not submitted its draft resolution on BiH, only the British one is being considered

The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and head of diplomacy, Ivica Dačić, stated that Russia has not released its draft resolution on BiH, reports the Patria News Agency. Therefore, tonight in the UN Security Council, only the British draft resolution on Srebrenica will be voted on.

Dačić told TV N1 that the discussion in the SC should last three hours and that everything will be known afterwards.

Regarding the Russian veto, Dačić explained that Serbia presented a clear stance against attempts to create new divisions.

-The President of the Republic addressed all heads of state members of the SC and called on them not to adopt this resolution. Letters were sent to all heads of state, including Queen Elizabeth. In a protocol sense, the president acted correctly, of course, the Queen will not decide on this, but the government will. I cannot speak or speculate about a veto, Dačić said.

He added that he believes that the members of the Security Council will understand that reconciliation cannot be achieved through new divisions.

-I expect all countries that participated in the Dayton Agreement to show a high level of responsibility for the situation in BiH, and that means not making any decisions that could destabilize the situation there, Dačić believes.

As he pointed out, Serbia has invested a great deal in reconciliation with BiH.

-I have spoken with Bakir Izetbegović several times, and we have jointly noted that such dates are awkward because such things usually do not contribute to reconciliation, Dačić said.

Serbia and the Serbian people, historically speaking, do not deserve to be the only ones, apart from Rwanda, to be labeled as perpetrators of genocide, Dačić stated, assessing that based on the British resolution, in terms of political consequences, someone might challenge the legitimacy of Republika Srpska.

-That is why the approach is important; first, we must speak in a balanced way about all victims on all sides in BiH. Politicians change, but RS is a historical creation of the Dayton Agreement, Dačić pointed out.

That agreement, he recalled, was proposed by the great powers.

-Neither Milošević nor the President of RS accepted it with enthusiasm. Politicians can change, they can be liked or disliked, but Serbia and RS, which is an integral part of BiH, will exist, and there is no chance that anyone can threaten that, Dačić said.

Serbia has never dealt with determining or denying that a crime occurred in Srebrenica, but this is about whether the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and genocide in general can be reduced to just one event, he asked.

Serbia, he emphasized, is the only country in the region that has condemned the crime in Srebrenica and prosecuted those suspected of participating in that crime, assessing that behind the insistence on the resolution lie the interests of "some countries that are settling scores with other countries".

-If we are making a resolution only about Rwanda and Srebrenica out of all the crimes and genocides that occurred in the 20th century, it is obvious here that some countries are seeking a field to settle scores with other countries. Great Britain has significant interests in the Islamic world and believes that by participating in many campaigns in those countries, it will be easiest to settle scores in this way with a small country like BiH, Dačić said.

According to him, it must not be forgotten that Great Britain is a strong power with which Serbia has good relations, but that we cannot remain silent that the British resolution "was hidden from us and was not prepared together with us".
