Russia's role is important for both the Balkans and the Middle East, and it will be even more important in the future. Russia is becoming the "key" to (in)stability in the Balkans and the Middle East - according to the International Institute for Middle Eastern and Balkan Studies (IFIMES), adding that the events in Ukraine have shown great antagonisms between Russia and the West, reports the Patria News Agency.
IFIMES states that Russia's return to the world stage began with Vladimir Putin's rise to power in Russia.
Defense and geopolitics expert Dr. Klemen Grošelj, former Member of the European Parliament Jelko Kacin, and journalist and long-time correspondent for RTV Slovenia from Moscow Andrej Stopar will speak on these and other issues at a round table in Ljubljana on April 16, and Bakhatyar Aljaf, one of the directors of IFIMES, will speak on behalf of the institute, reports NAP.
You will be able to follow the live broadcast of this round table at the link: http://www.ifimes.org/en/livestream
