(Patria) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that another prisoner exchange has taken place.
According to the one-for-one formula, one hundred Russian prisoners of war were exchanged for 100 Ukrainian ones.
The exchange of prisoners was carried out with the mediation of the UAE. This is the second exchange in which the UAE plays the role of mediator.
"The United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian mediation in the return of Russian military personnel from captivity," the ministry's statement said.
The released soldiers will be transferred to Moscow, where they will undergo treatment and rehabilitation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that all military personnel were provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
We remind you that the previous exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine took place on January 31. At that time, 195 soldiers returned to Russia, and 195 Ukrainian soldiers returned to their country.
