Russia and China discuss war in Ukraine and relations with the United States

(Patria) - Foreign ministers of Russia and China discussed relations with the United States
and prospects for ending the war in Ukraine on Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, Reuters reported.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Sunday. Lavrov will attend a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in China.

"The parties also discussed relations with the United States and prospects for resolving the Ukrainian crisis," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. "The importance of strengthening close coordination between the two countries on the international stage, including the United Nations and the Security Council, SCO, BRICS, G20, and APEC, was emphasized," it added.

China and Russia declared a partnership "without limits" in February 2022 when President Vladimir Putin visited Beijing, a few days before he launched the attack on Ukraine.
