On the occasion of Serbia's Statehood Day, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Sergey Zheleznyak, said that messages regarding negative Russian influence on the stabilization and democratization of Serbia and Montenegro mean that Russia is on the right track and is increasingly encouraging its brotherly Balkan countries to pursue independent policies, reports Patria.
- The Balkan region, or rather those countries that have not joined NATO, need a good defense capability, therefore projects should be prepared for Serbia and Montenegro in order to create an effective defense potential based on Russian missile systems - says Zheleznyak.
