Russians shelled Kherson, eight dead in attacks

(Patria) - Russian forces attacked settlements near Bakhmut with tanks, mortars, cannons, and rocket artillery in the last 24 hours, the General Staff of the Ukrainian army announced.

There were three missile strikes, 10 air strikes, and 62 MLRS attacks.

“In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy used tanks, mortars, cannons, and rocket artillery to fire on 25 settlements, including Spirne, Berestove, Soledar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Bila Hora, Dylivka, and Opitne,” the statement said.

Ukrainian authorities state that at least eight people were killed and 58 were injured.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, an advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, also commented on the deadly attacks on Kherson today, describing them as "acts of terrorism".

Shortly thereafter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also commented on his Telegram channel:

“These are not military targets. This is about killing for intimidation and for pleasure. Social networks will most likely mark these photos as 'sensitive content'. But this is not sensitive content – this is the real life of Ukraine and Ukrainians,” Zelensky wrote.
