SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Miners of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine have blocked the M-17 main road, breaching the police cordon formed at the location.
The entrance to Zenica from the direction of Sarajevo is blocked, and the miners have stated that they will not leave until the Mine's account is unblocked and they receive their earned salaries and compensation.
The president of the RMU Zenica Trade Union, Elvedin Abdić, emphasized that they had no other choice but to block the road after no one approached them to resolve their problems.
"We finished our union activities with protests at 10:00 AM. I came here as a miner, as a man, and I am ready to be here with the miners for as long as they are. As a union representative, I am ready to negotiate as soon as someone calls us," Abdić said.
