(Patria) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has rejected reports that the United Kingdom has stopped sharing intelligence on drug trafficking ships due to concerns about US military strikes in the Caribbean, Reuters reported.
Rubio said nothing has changed that would hinder Washington's ability to act.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Canada, Rubio said no one raised the issue of operations near Venezuela during the meeting and that the UK had not directly expressed concerns to him.
Asked about a CNN report that the Kingdom had suspended intelligence sharing, Rubio called it a "false story," without going into detail, and said the United States has a very strong partnership with the United Kingdom.
