SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Republika Srpska exported goods worth 115 million euros to Serbia in the first three months, of which 50 million was the value of exported electricity, stated the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Pero Ćorić, today.
He assessed that these are traditionally the most significant trading partners.
– We imported around 135 million euros, which is one of the highest import coverages by exports in recent times. This year, the import coverage by exports from Republika Srpska is by far the highest because almost 40 percent of exports from Srpska to Serbia was electrical energy – said Ćorić, who attended the opening of the International Fair of Technology.
He pointed out that energy and food have proven to be dominant in the trade exchange between Serbia and Republika Srpska.
– This year, energy came from Republika Srpska, and on the other hand, cereals and other food products were imported from Serbia – said Ćorić, adding that it is not difficult to sell energy at the moment.
He pointed out the fact that Republika Srpska, with its production capacities and current consumption, has market surpluses, which is good for the energy sector. Ćorić believes that this is also good for Serbia, and that there can be no political influences or obstacles, emphasizing that everything is on a purely market basis.
