RS pays more for vaccines than Serbia, minister sees nothing strange

SARAJevo, (Patria) - New doses of the Covid 19 vaccine have arrived in Republika Srpska. A deal worth almost 8.5 million KM. The Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska has once again entrusted the job to the bidder "Krajinagroup" from Banja Luka. Former RS Minister of Health Slobodan Stanić says that this is another classic rigged tender and that revaccination (two doses) costs 106 KM here, while Serbia completed the same thing for 58.5 KM.

240,000 "Sinofarm" doses against the coronavirus have arrived in Republika Srpska from China. The Republican Headquarters for Emergency Situations, upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, made a conclusion to allocate over eight million marks from the Compensation Fund for vaccines.

The Institute of Public Health was tasked with urgently carrying out public procurement in accordance with positive regulations based on an informational offer.

- This could be where the potential problem lies, says former Minister of Health Slobodan Stanić.

"I am asking who received that informational offer, we see that it is the only informational offer, and if it is at the proposal of the Ministry of Health, did the ministry issue a public call for submitting informational offers, because if it is an informational offer, why is public procurement being conducted?", says Stanić.

The relevant minister claims that everything is clean in this case.

For Alen Šeranić, there is nothing controversial in the fact that public procurement was carried out, even though it was an informational offer.

"Let me clarify one situation, the 240,000 vaccines that arrived refer to 160,000 vaccines that were procured at that time through that conclusion and 80,000 that are from the first batch, so that makes 240,000. This is a public procurement process. In order for someone to enter into any public procurement procedure, you must receive an informational offer from someone who offers a certain type of goods", says Šeranić.
