Nice attacker's relative: He ate pork, he wasn't a Muslim

The truck driver who killed more than 80 people in the Nice massacre last night consciously violated every rule of Islam, the relative of Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel told the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old responsible for the Nice massacre drank alcohol, ate pork, and took drugs.

- He never prayed or went to the mosque. He beat his wife with whom he had three children and was in the process of divorce - his relative says.

Bouhlel was previously known to French police for minor offenses. He allegedly lost his job as a delivery driver when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into four cars.

Walid Hamou, the relative of the attacker's wife, told the Daily Mail that Bouhlel was not religious.

- He wasn't a Muslim, but a disgusting piece of shit - the relative says.

Police stopped him yesterday a few hours before he drove a truck into a crowd of people and then started shooting at passers-by.

He told the police officers that he was delivering ice cream and was allowed to park on the promenade for a few hours.

No weapons or explosives were found in his apartment during the search, and his wife is currently in custody.

One of the attacker's neighbors also confirmed that Bouhlel drank alcohol, chased girls, and went to clubs.

- He divorced his beautiful wife two years ago - the neighbor said, Index reports.
