Revision of the Verdict against Serbia: Legal Team Will Attempt to Challenge Softić's Legitimacy

The United Srpska party announced that it has formed a legal team that will assist in the efforts of the BiH entity Republika Srpska and Serbia to have the Hague court reject the application for revision of the BiH verdict against Serbia for genocide.

This team will attempt to prove that the Decision on granting power of attorney to agent Sakib Softić from 2002 was never published in the Official Gazette of BiH. Therefore, according to this party, Softić could not initiate the revision of that verdict without the consent of the BiH Presidency.

Furthermore, the United Srpska states, the evidentiary proceedings in the case against Ratko Mladić were concluded more than six months ago, so they cannot be considered credible for the renewal of the revision.

This party believes that the only decision the International Court can make in the case of the revision of the verdict is to reject the revision as untimely, NAP reports.
