Revision of the Verdict is a Legal Demand for the Truth and Dignity of Genocide Victims

We, the victims of genocide, call upon the signatory states of the Dayton Agreement, led by the United States of America and the European Union, as well as representatives of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to support internationally recognized human and state rights to have law and justice administered in courts, and to support the right of Bosnia and Herzegovina, should it deem it necessary, to initiate a revision procedure before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, announced the associations of victims, Patria reports.

- The revision of the International Court of Justice verdict is a legal demand for the truth and dignity of the victims, and of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state, provided for by the Statute of the International Court of Justice established by the United Nations. Accordingly, we call upon all individuals, domestic and international groups, organizations and institutions in BiH that challenge the application of international law established by the United Nations, to cease denying, challenging and blocking the legitimate rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the victims to initiate a revision procedure before the International Court of Justice.

Today they silence us and threaten to file criminal charges if we advocate for revision. They threaten us again, perhaps thinking that the time of Srebrenica, Prijedor, camps, rape and torture has not yet passed for us. No, we will file criminal charges against them and against all those who try and will try to prevent the internationally guaranteed right of Bosnia and Herzegovina to seek justice before the International Court of Justice.

We call upon and support the agent before the International Court of Justice and the BiH legal team, as well as all competent institutions of BiH, to, with the strength of legal argumentation and the support of pro-Bosnian political forces, do everything so that the request for revision is submitted within the legal deadline and with valid argumentation. We have no doubt that the BiH legal team will prepare valid legal argumentation and use available international norms and law to try to correct the injustice done to the victims and BiH. Once again, we call upon certain domestic and foreign experts, current and former international political or judicial representatives, to try to refrain from criticism and political meddling at this moment. Again, we invite them to contribute to the realization of the revision by providing evidence or their proposals for revision, because that was and remains their obligation to support international law, and the right to a legal, fair and correct procedure for both the victims and the state.

Initiating the revision is a matter and responsibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards its sovereignty and citizens of BiH, and is not a matter of the right and responsibility of one people, individual or institution. Support for the revision is support for the international order, the rule of law and international civilizational norms, not individual opinions.
