Record Indirect Tax Revenue

(Patria) - Record indirect tax revenues have been collected since the establishment of the Indirect Taxation Authority. Compared to the previous record year of 2019, KM 104,860,767 more was collected.
Compared to last year, 2020, KM 660,315,234 more was collected. 

Indirect tax revenues in the first eight months of 2021 amounted to 5 billion and 363 million KM, which is 660 million KM or 14.04% more than in the same period of 2020, when they amounted to 4 billion and 703 million KM.

In August 2021 alone, 768 million KM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 186 million KM more than in August 2020. After the ITA refunded VAT to businesses in the amount of 958 million KM, the net collected revenues distributed to beneficiaries for the period January - August 2021, namely the state, entities, and Brčko District, amounted to 4 billion and 405 million KM, which is 543 million KM more than the revenues received by beneficiaries from the Single Account in the same period of 2020.

For the financing of state institutions for the period January - August 2021, an amount of 515 million KM was distributed. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 2 billion and 428 million KM, Republika Srpska 1 billion and 321 million KM, and Brčko District 134 million KM.

In addition to distributed revenues, based on the special toll for highway construction and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 136 million KM, Republika Srpska 89.9 million KM, and Brčko District 4.6 million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a special toll account of 0.25 KM.
