(Patria) - The growth of exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Austria has been constantly progressing over the past three years, and the coverage of imports by exports has reached a record 155%, it was highlighted at today's meeting of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović, and the Ambassador of Austria to BiH, Ulrike Hartmann.
Minister Šarović pointed out that last year Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods worth more than one billion marks to Austria.
"It is very important that we do not export raw products to Austria, but that these are goods and components, mainly from the metal industry, behind which lies a lot of knowledge and work of domestic companies," Minister Šarović emphasized on this occasion.
Welcoming the dynamic and successful cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador Hartmann emphasized that Austria imports more from Bosnia and Herzegovina than it exports. This, as emphasized, does not create difficulties for this country, because, on the other hand, a significant number of Austrian investors and companies are present in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors agreed that the constant growth of cooperation guarantees an increase in the volume of cooperation in the coming years and that the key to further progress lies in the construction of road infrastructure, especially Corridor 5C.
