Grand Mufti Kavazović condemns attacks in Sri Lanka: We must jointly oppose terrorism

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, condemned today's terrorist attack in Sri Lanka and expressed condolences to the families of the victims, the Christian community and the people of Sri Lanka, MINA reported. 

He expressed condolences on behalf of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in his own name, emphasizing that the realization that the attack occurred on Easter Sunday is particularly horrifying. 

„Once again, the evil of terrorism has reminded us that it knows no measure nor boundary, and that it leaves us no choice but to jointly oppose it,“ the Grand Mufti's statement of condolence regarding today's attacks in Sri Lanka reads, as reported by the Patria agency.

In a series of explosions that hit Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, at least 185 people were killed and 469 wounded, according to the Xinhua news agency. The attacks occurred at several locations, including churches and five-star hotels in the capital Colombo.
