Reis Kavazović and Cardinal Puljić at Conference in Brussels

BRUSSELS, (Patria) - Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović and Archbishop of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljić are participating in the conference "A European Bosnia and Herzegovina: Cultural Diversity and Reconciliation" being held at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Alongside Reis Kavazović and Cardinal Puljić, the conference is attended by OHR High Representative Valentin Inzko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak, and several other officials from BiH and the EU.

During a meeting with representatives of the Jewish community, the Conference of European Churches, and the organization Religions for Peace, Reis Kavazović stated that after the Hague tribunal's verdicts, a new strategy for the Balkans is needed, one that focuses on the victims and guarantees that the memory of what happened during the war in BiH is preserved, and that societies and countries in the region should focus on the future.
