Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić stated that reforms, investments and employment were discussed at a meeting today with European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn and entity prime ministers, writes Patria.
Zvizdić said that conditions for further economic development must be created in the coming period and that it is necessary to increase investments in BiH.
- The reform process must proceed in parallel in all segments. Once reforms are adopted, investments must follow because we want to build roads. We have submitted a large number of projects and expect many of them to be approved at the Summit in Trieste. We are seeking for them to be financed with grant funds and very favorable repayment terms in accordance with our World Bank agreement of 750 million dollars - Zvizdić said.
The focus will be on employing young people and investing in infrastructure and road development.
Prime Minister of the Government of Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović stated that she is not optimistic when it comes to the implementation of the Reform Agenda in BiH.
- In RS, we completed all previous items from the Reform Agenda and the letter of intent three months ago. We need to change our approach to reforms - talk much less and work more. Every time we go out into the field, we cannot implement certain things, and that is the key issue - Cvijanović stated, adding that she is not satisfied with the attitude towards the agenda.
Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić said that they have the support of European and other officials on the European path, as evidenced by frequent visits to BiH.
