Queues in front of banks: April pensions delayed, payment to be completed next week

The payment of pensions in the Federation of BiH, which began on May 6, will be completed next week, writes the Patria news agency. 

According to information from the PIO/MIO Fund, payments are made daily to post offices and banks, but the exact date when the payment of April pensions will be completed is unknown. It has been announced that this will happen next week. Since May 6, pensioners waiting for their pensions can be seen daily in front of banks in the Federation. 

April pensions, realized under the Law on MIO/PIO, are paid according to the coefficient of 1.816, meaning that the amounts of the lowest, guaranteed, and highest pensions remain unchanged. The lowest pension amounts to 326.17 KM, the guaranteed one to 434.90 KM, while the highest pension amounts to 2,174.48 KM.

The total funds required for the payment of pensions for April, including costs, amount to around 160 million KM.
