Reactions: Serious security incidents – murder of RS police officer and businessman

(Patria) - The US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina posted on its official Twitter account that it is shocked by the brutal liquidation of Banja Luka businessman Slaviša Krunić.

"We express our condolences to the family, colleagues, business and wider community. We expect the relevant authorities to take the necessary steps to investigate the crime and respond appropriately," reads the tweet from the US Embassy in Sarajevo.

The UK Ambassador to BiH, Matt Field, expressed his disapproval of the recent events.

"Two serious security incidents in recent days – the murder of an RS police officer over the weekend and the murder of businessman Slaviša Krunić and his bodyguard yesterday. The authorities are expected to quickly conduct an investigation and prosecute those responsible," Field wrote.

Businessman Slaviša Krunić was killed last night in the settlement of Glamočani near Banja Luka.

One of his associates, Žarko Pavlović, was also killed, as was the attacker Željko Kovačević. Members of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska arrested Emilio Baldu as part of the investigation into the murder.
