Reactions to Krišto: There is no state union, HDZ introduced apartheid in Jajce

(Patria) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament and HDZ candidate for the BiH Presidency Borjana Krišto today called BiH a "state union" in Jajce, and reactions to that statement followed.

Denis Zvizdić, a state representative, said that Krišto, following the example of her coalition partners from SNSD, called BiH a "state union".

"The use of such an anti-constitutional phrase is another confirmation of the justification for my request for a constitutionality assessment, which will declare the use of the terms 'joint institutions' and 'state union' unconstitutional. I expect the Constitutional Court to make such a decision as soon as possible. And to repeat the lesson for those who deny the statehood of BiH. BiH is not a 'state union' nor are the entities 'states', but only administrative-territorial units within BiH. And nothing more.

BiH is a state with its territorial integrity, sovereignty, political independence, and international legal subjectivity. There are no, nor will there ever be, 'joint institutions', but only institutions of the state of BiH.

Therefore, BiH is an independent, whole, democratic, and European state of all patriotically oriented constitutional peoples and citizens, and there will be no ethno-territorial divisions or unions. First and foremost, the state of BiH," Zvizdić wrote.

Sabina Ćudić, president of the Main Board of Our Party and holder of the party's list for the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, also reacted.

"In state unions of peoples, it is the peoples who hold sovereignty. We remind Borjana Krišto that Bosnia and Herzegovina has never transferred its sovereignty to any people. We know that this is what HDZ strives for, that one people has complete power over a part of the territory. We will fight against that with all means. Every one of our female citizens and every one of our male citizens must have equal rights on every inch of our country and no one should be discriminated against because they belong to one of the constituent peoples or others. It is the peoples whose sovereignty is woven into the statehood of BiH with the guarantee of their equality. That equality is being undermined to a great extent today where HDZ is in power.

On the soil of Europe, you have managed to abolish European values. Precisely where you have gathered, apartheid reigns in the form of two schools under one roof, against which the brave high school students of Jajce fought with all their might. They are leaving our country because of your backward ideology of blood and soil. Some of the saddest scenes of our education were written about four days ago. It was written about the children of Jajce who socialize during breaks, but when the bell rings, they separate along ethnic lines. They ask their parents and teachers why they are separating them, and they cannot explain it to them. In October, we will come and enable them to be together," said Ćudić.
