Reactions to Kajganić's appointment: The man who indicted Dudaković, Dreković...

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Following the HJPC's election of prosecutor Milanko Kajganić as acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office with seven votes, the first reactions have emerged.

"The Prosecutor's Office of BiH is now headed by a prosecutor who indicted and prosecuted Dudaković, Dreković... He heads the Special Department for War Crimes, which we all claim prosecutes generals, command staff, and soldiers of the Army of RBiH. He is considered loyal to Milan Tegeltija. The pathetic, miserable, cowardly, and uninspired policy of SDA has been humiliating us for years in a way no one has ever humiliated us. Ready to trade anything to protect their crime, and they have no brains. Sadness, misery, shame," wrote Elmedin Konaković, president of People and Justice.

Kajganić joined the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in 2014, although he had no experience as a prosecutor and worked as a prosecutorial investigator. In 2019, he was appointed as one of the deputy chief prosecutors while Milan Tegeltija was the president of the HJPC.

While Milorad Dodik stated today that Gordana Tadić was dismissed with six "Muslim votes," and Dragan Čović's HDZ BiH is threatening an uncertain situation in FBiH after Tadić's dismissal, there has been no announcement regarding whose votes led to Kajganić's election.

Kajganić is also linked to the leaking of information from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH about the impending arrest of Milomir Savčić, who is indicted for genocide. Savčić, after being warned of his arrest, unexpectedly arrived at the Prosecutor's Office of BiH accompanied by his lawyer. Savčić had a hearing at the Court of BiH for violating bail conditions, and while awaiting the decision, he fled BiH on August 10th. To date, there is no information on Savčić's whereabouts, although it is suspected that he found refuge in Serbia.

Although Kajganić did not file the indictment in the Dudaković case, but rather prosecutor Vedrana Mijović, some media outlets have reported that Kajganić's connection with Mijović was also observed in some other cases, and that he actually ordered her to investigate the arrest of General Đuro Matuzović and nine other former HVO members from Orašje.
