Reactions to the allocation of 200,000 KM to the Institute for Culture and Arts

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The opposition club of SDA deputies in the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Assembly has sent an initiative to the KS Government with the aim of deleting the item of 200,000 KM from the KS Budget for the fictitious citizens' association "Institute for Culture and Arts" which they themselves invented, claims SDP BiH.

In their press release, they remind that SDP deputy Segmedina Srna Bajramović publicly asked the Government and SDA Prime Minister at the 36th Assembly session held on December 20, 2017, what kind of institute it is, where its location is, who its director is, and what its purpose is?

"It is obvious that SDA invented the Institute as another in a series of scams that they also quickly 'forgotten', because it was clearly not important to them, but rather the money they planned to extract through it.
Especially hypocritical are the current attempts by SDA to cover up its own criminal intent, through alleged explanations that it is a lie that this association was inherited from their government. Instead of underestimating the intelligence of citizens and the public with their daily nonsensical press releases, we demand that SDA at least not argue with common sense and evidence that can be verified in the transcript of the 36th session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly," the SDP statement reads.

Naša stranka also commented on the allocation of 200,000 KM to the Institute for Culture and Arts.

"We demand that the Government of Sarajevo Canton allocate the funds in the amount of 200,000 KM, which the previous two Governments also planned for the Institute for Arts and Culture, to cultural institutions of state importance. This Government should continue to support not only cantonal cultural institutions, but also state ones whose legal status and financing are questionable due to the lack of political consensus at the state level," it was announced from Naša stranka.

Earlier, SBB also requested that the KS Government withdraw the decision to allocate the money, and the party's president Fahrudin Radončić stated that the further participation of SBB in the government in Sarajevo Canton is being called into question.
