REACTIONS TO THE RAMPAGE OF CHETNIKS IN BOSANSKA DUBICA - IGK: Unconditionally ban anti-civilizational paramilitary manifestations of neo-fascism

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada has repeatedly warned the most responsible world political and academic subjects about the activities and fascist gatherings of paramilitary groups in the RS entity.

"The anti-fascist world, especially anti-fascist Europe, which is once again threatened by evil with Russian aggression against Ukraine, must not remain silent in the face of open propaganda of fascist goals and ideologies that should have been defeated back in World War II. Silence towards the expansion of fascist movements in the RS entity is a sign that fascism has not been defeated, that human rights and freedoms are not protected, that the vowed 'never again' after the Holocaust has not come to life, that Western civilization has no answers to the aggressive genocidal challenges of fascism. The victims of the Chetnik movement were not only Bosnian anti-fascists, but also the anti-fascist movement in the world," stated the IGK press release.

They added that they reminded the Canadian political establishment that more than 50,000 Canadians gave their lives fighting against fascism in World War II.

"Canadians also contributed to peacekeeping operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the last aggression. Chetniks held captured Canadian soldiers hostage at that time, terribly humiliating them. IGK once again calls for seriousness in the role of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of protecting the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, in that regard, initiating criminal proceedings against extremist, paramilitary groups that, through their actions in the context of a difficult political and security situation in the world, cause fear, instability, and insecurity not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also beyond. IGK calls on the High Representative, judicial and security institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all embassies of foreign governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina to unconditionally ban anti-civilizational paramilitary manifestations of neo-fascism in the RS entity," emphasized IGK.

As they said: "It is the duty of the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the High Representative and the international community, including international security forces, to prevent with all means the attempt to destroy the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the eyes of the world. It must not be allowed that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the heart of Europe, paramilitary groups seriously disrupt the security of a sovereign state. The world should know that Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been on the side of fascism."
