REACTIONS Karić announced termination of cooperation with BiH FA, Muzur mourns Ivica Osim

(Patria) - Reactions are not subsiding to the decision of the BiH FA commission for the BiH national team to play a friendly match with the Russian national team in Saint Petersburg on November 19. The players themselves have spoken out, clearly stating that the FA's decision is wrong, and numerous politicians have called on the players not to respond to the call-up and for the FA to annul the decision.

The Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, has also spoken out.

"Sarajevo, as a city that was under siege by the aggressor for the longest time, and I, as mayor, strongly condemn the Football Association's decision to play a friendly match with Russia. I consider it a moral obligation for the Football Association of BiH, the professional staff, and the players to refuse this match.

Accepting it is discrediting to our country, as we would be playing with a football team that is under sanctions from UEFA and FIFA and is banned from participating in all competitions under their jurisdiction. If the decision is not changed, the City will cease cooperation with the Association, which has been of high quality so far," announced the mayor.

The Mayor of Ilidža municipality, Nermin Muzur, also condemned the decision of the BiH FA.

"At a time when everyone is looking for an alternative to anything that comes from Russia, our Football Association is arranging a FRIENDLY match, and in Russia at that. I am very interested to know what the General Secretary of the Football Association thinks, or the colleagues who represent the Federal Association within the Football Association of BiH? Perhaps they don't even have the right to an opinion.

Ivica is dead, and so are character and stance in the Football Association," stated Muzur.
