Reactions to the verdict against war criminal Radovan Karadžić are arriving from around the world, and the former Croatian Prime Minister and President of the SDP said that no punishment will ever be able to undo the evil that was done, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
- A sentence of 40 years in prison for a man who led a joint criminal enterprise and whose actions led to the deaths of thousands of people and terrible suffering is little consolation for all the victims and their families. The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina was waged with the aim of expelling Croats and Bosniaks and creating a Greater Serbia. The verdict against Radovan Karadžić is a clear warning to all those who still glorify war criminals, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that their policy is dangerous and internationally characterized as criminal - said Milanović.
Former Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor also commented on the verdict and said it was too lenient.
- Little. Too little. Because, for all that hatred, death, fear, persecution, despair, hopelessness, rape; for all those murdered children and halted youths, there is no sufficient punishment - she posted on Twitter.
