Reactions: Mayor Domić did not pressure us, he suspended our salaries due to our fault

The Office of the Mayor of Brčko District denies claims that Mayor Anto Domić ordered the suspension of salaries for five employees of the Brčko District administration due to his own interests, writes the Patria news agency.

Mayor Domić signed an order at the beginning of September instructing the Finance Directorate not to pay salaries for September to five employees because, as members of a working group, they had not submitted the organizational plan for the Department of Education even after two months, which, the mayor justified the decision, caused problems in the regular conduct of classes in Brčko schools.

The employees who were penalized are: Siniša Ravlić, Slobodan Ristić, Mehmed Topčagić, Slavoljub Bašić, and Admir Bilalović.
Sources close to the working group then told the Patria agency that Mayor Domić had asked the working group members to sign an organizational plan he had prepared instead of them, in which he had foreseen unnecessary new positions for his people, as well as funds for the salaries of four Croatian teachers who do not teach children in schools at all. When the group members rejected his proposal, the source claimed, the mayor ordered the suspension of their salaries as punishment for disobedience.

Domić's Office denied the claims that the mayor suspended the employees' salaries for personal reasons. The members of the penalized five also gave, at the mayor's request, written statements in which they claim that the problem arose due to poor communication between them and the mayor, and that the mayor did not pressure them during the preparation of the organizational plan for the Department of Education in Brčko District.

Admir Bilalović, head of the Department of Education in Brčko District, claims that the working group completed the task the mayor asked of them on time, but they failed to inform the mayor himself about it, which caused complications, writes Patria.
