Reaction of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH: Toilet paper is not only for inspectors, but for 2,500 employees

The Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH reacted to the text published today by the Patria agency under the title “UIO published procurement plan: Citizens pay 70,000 KM for inspectors' toilet paper”, stating that it is not only about toilet paper for inspectors, but about hygiene materials for the annual maintenance of all facilities of the Indirect Taxation Authority.

- UIO has its headquarters building in Banja Luka, four regional center buildings in Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar and Tuzla, 30 customs offices and 59 customs outposts across BiH. Funds in the amount of 68,000 KM are planned on an annual basis for the hygiene maintenance of all mentioned facilities, in which a total of 2,500 employees work. Therefore, in addition to toilet paper, the planned funds include the procurement of all other goods that, according to their specifications, type and purpose, are necessary for the minimal maintenance of hygiene of the premises and employees in UIO – the reaction states.

We recall, the Patria agency published today certain items from the public procurement plan for 2015 of the UIO BiH, where among other things it is stated that the planned expenditure for hygiene materials (hygiene products, toilet paper and paper towels) is 68,000 convertible marks.

In the reaction sent by the UIO BiH, they did not clarify what the planned procurement of split firewood worth 5,999 KM is for, or what the protocol gifts worth 5,999 KM include.
