A press release has arrived from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) regarding the decision of the RS Government to terminate cooperation with SIPA, which the Patria News Agency is fully relaying.
-In relation to media inquiries about the information that Republika Srpska institutions are terminating cooperation with the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Court and Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to this morning's deprivation of liberty and searches in the area of the municipality of Bosanski Novi, we inform the public that SIPA has not received any official decision from the competent institutions of Republika Srpska.
We emphasize that in this specific case, SIPA acted in accordance with its legal competencies and by order of the competent prosecutor's office, and any commentary on political decisions of certain institutions would be unprofessional and outside our competencies, the statement reads.
