SDP BiH Reaction: New Burdens by the Arrogant FBiH Government and Prime Minister Fadil Novalić

The Social Democratic Party of BiH once again demands that the Government of the Federation of BiH immediately withdraw the Rulebook on taxation of meal allowances and holiday pay from application, which, besides being harmful, is also illegal and contrary to the decision of the Constitutional Court of FBiH, reports Patria agency.

Namely, the application of this Rulebook most affects workers who receive a minimum wage of 406 KM, or all workers with salaries less than 500 KM. This category of workers will feel the results of the quasi-reforms of the Government led by Fadil Novalić and Izetbegović's SDA the most.

The taxation of meal allowances and holiday pay will certainly lead to a reduction in workers' income, as well as a reduction in the number of employees in FBiH, because the taxation does not follow the reduction of contributions on salaries, which is another in a series of false promises by the FBiH Government.

How important workers are to the federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić is evidenced by the fact that he is currently on an official trip to the United States of America, which is a continuation of his shameful policy towards workers in FBiH, which he confirmed a few days ago with a statement that the workers of TTU Tuzla can go on a hunger strike and wait for their salary for the next few months, which is why we continue to demand his immediate resignation.

SDP BiH also requested in July this year that the disputed Rulebook on taxation of meal allowances and holiday pay be withdrawn, but it is evident that the decision to apply this Rulebook was deliberately postponed after the date of this year's local elections, so that the ruling coalition would not have an even worse result in the local elections.

Although the ruling coalition did not deem it necessary to schedule a session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament for three months, SDP deputies will, at the very next session, seek the adoption of a conclusion ordering the FBiH Government to withdraw this shameful Rulebook from application.
