DF's Reaction: SDA Has Been Leading a Policy of Return to Ruin for Two Decades

-The Law on Residence of Bosnia and Herzegovina could not have been adopted at all without the consent of the SDA to be placed on the agenda of the session of the House of Peoples of the state Parliament. We remind that the proposal of the Law was last on the agenda in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and was returned for harmonization. How an uncoordinated text of the law could be placed on the agenda, let the leadership of the SDA explain, it was announced from the Democratic Front, reports the Patria news agency.

Furthermore, we wish to reiterate our position that this law is an instrument that will give the regime of Milorad Dodik an instrument for determining the acceptable number of citizens of non-Serb nationality in that entity.

The key provision of this law, namely, is not the one about documents required for registering residence, because even before, proof of stay at the place of residence was required, but the one that gives the ministries of internal affairs discretionary power to carry out the so-called "revision of residence".

We take this opportunity to condemn the politicking of members of the SDA leadership who shed crocodile tears over the fate of returnees, such as the Vice President of the RS entity Ramiz Salkić, while building an existence for his family in Tuzla. If not, we invite him to announce in which municipality his children go to school.

Finally, attributing responsibility for this law to civic activism is a case of rare political illiteracy, because it overlooks that this law, in the same text, was not adopted in 2011 in the House of Representatives, at least a year before the voter registration campaign for the local elections in 2012.

In that regard, we are sure that the SDA for the local elections in 2016 will offer another and different plan for securing power where returnee political forces now have it in the RS entity, and thus finally take responsibility for two decades of leading a policy of return to ruin. We in the DF will certainly not save them from themselves, the DF statement reads.
