(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated this evening, after talks with EU representatives and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, that it has been agreed to continue discussions in the coming period.
The next meeting, as he said, will be held on March 18 in North Macedonia.
- We had a typically difficult meeting. We will continue in the coming period. I believe there will be many more talks in the coming period.
As I understood, we are supposed to meet on March 18 in North Macedonia, when EU High Representative Josep Borrell will be visiting the region - Vučić told reporters, Kosovo Online reports.
Until then, he says, they should discuss matters related to implementation with EU envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajčak.
He assessed it as important that the EU statement, if it is so, will address the necessity of implementing all previous agreements.
- I insisted on the CSM. I don't think Kurti was ready to accept that now. Whether he will in the future - we will see.
I hope it is possible for us to reach some compromises, but I fear we will remain stuck in something that was signed long ago and should have been implemented - Vučić added.
He expressed his belief that unilateral moves that would endanger people on the ground can be overcome and that work can be done on the implementation of previously reached agreements first and foremost.
How the meeting between Kurti and Vučić went might be sufficiently indicated by the reaction of Borrell himself from the cover photo.
