SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is the sponsor of the "Heart of Sarajevo" award for the best student film at the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) for the third year in a row.
"We continue to support creative young filmmakers on their path of professional development, because YOUNG PEOPLE MATTER!", the RCC stated in a press release.
"We are pleased to support the student film competition program for the third year in a row, especially because it aligns with what the Regional Cooperation Council does. I hope that among the 14 films competing this year, we will see some new inspired and interesting works, and we wish the winner all the best," said Majlinda Bregu, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council.
She added that "this is a message to young people who want to watch or shoot films, videos, and the like with their mobile phones every day, and a good message to all film lovers that we support you!"
By supporting the student film competition program, launched in 2017, the Regional Cooperation Council has been helping and continuously encouraging regional cooperation in the field of creativity and youth art from the very beginning, thus promoting the work of young and talented future filmmakers right at the start of their careers. The program includes fiction, documentary, and animated student films up to 60 minutes in duration, produced within the educational process of regional film schools, faculties, and academies.
The winner of the competition program for the best student film will be announced on August 23, 2019.
