Talked with Softić as well: Revision of the verdict for Ivanić is a political, not a legal issue!

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Mladen Ivanić, held a press conference in Sarajevo today to discuss the revision of the BiH vs. Serbia verdict, writes the Patria News Agency.

Ivanić reiterated today that the revision of the lawsuit, as he calls it, although it is a revision of the verdict, should not be submitted, as it will further complicate the situation both in BiH and with its neighbors.

Ivanić also stated today that this is a political, not a legal issue, and repeatedly said that this is a shot in the dark and that it is known how it will all end.

When asked how he could know how it would all end, even though the revision of the verdict has not yet been filed, Ivanić said:

- I am speaking procedurally, I don't know how you hear and interpret it. Only the BiH Presidency can make such a decision - said Ivanić.

He pointed out that he tried to schedule a session of the BiH Presidency, but there was no agreement from the other two members of the Presidency.

- If anyone should request a Presidency session, it is Bakir Izetbegović, because only in this way can he gain legitimacy for the lawsuit - believes Mladen Ivanić.

- Given that it is clear that the decision will be made after the meeting on Friday, when non-governmental organizations gather, not BiH institutions, this lawsuit does not have the legitimacy of BiH, but rather an attempt is being made to misuse the name and institutions of BiH - emphasized Ivanić.

He believes that the revision of the verdict will lead to a serious crisis.

- I call for reflection, I am available to everyone. I will bear my responsibility, as always. I am taking and will continue to take measures that I deem appropriate. I will not forgive carelessness to anyone - added Ivanić.

There is no lawsuit from BiH. For me, for Republika Srpska, and for BiH, there is no lawsuit. No one has declared themselves on this matter - emphasized Ivanić.

When asked if Serbs would leave BiH institutions, Ivanić said that the question should be posed to the leaders of the Alliance for Change.

Information appeared in the media that Ivanić has a document from the International Court of Justice stating that Softić is not the agent of BiH. When asked if this was true, Ivanić denied it.

- I never said there was a document. Each new case requires a new agent - says Ivanić.

He stated that the lawsuit is a political issue because the lawsuit should be a lawsuit of BiH institutions against Serbia.

- It is a political issue. The legal issue is the legitimacy of the bodies trying to bypass the regular procedure - said Ivanić.

As he pointed out, he spoke with Sakib Softić today, whom he warned, as he says, that BiH does not stand behind this decision.
