Causes of fires in Prozor-Rama clarified: Seven persons suspected, mostly for arson

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After undertaking extensive investigative actions, police officers of the Prozor-Rama Police Station have clarified and discovered multiple causes and perpetrators of fires that occurred in April in the area of this municipality.

In connection with this, a Report on the committed criminal offense was submitted to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Mostar against seven persons: Š.M. (1969) from Heldovi, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense under Article 323, Paragraph 4, "Causing General Danger" of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The fire caused significant material damage in the locality of Heldovi, Prozor-Rama municipality.

A report against a person with initials A.Dž. (1998) from Ustirama was submitted on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense under Article 323, Paragraph 1, "Causing General Danger" of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is reasonable suspicion that on April 8, 2020, he intentionally started a fire in the locality of Ustirama, which spread to surrounding areas, causing material damage to a Catholic cemetery and danger to property on a large scale.

A person with initials M.Dž. (1984) from Grevići is also charged with arson, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense under Article 323, Paragraph 1, "Causing General Danger" of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The suspect is charged with intentionally starting a fire on April 7, 2020, which spread through the locality, causing material damage and danger on a large scale.

Furthermore, a report was also submitted against E.H. (1971) and K.H. (1964) from Blace, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense under Article 323, Paragraph 1, "Causing General Danger" of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is reasonable suspicion that on April 9, 2020, they intentionally started a fire in the locality of Dobroša, where significant material damage was caused.

For persons with initials F.Š. (1976) from Prozor and M.Š. (1981) from Prozor, there is reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 323, Paragraph 4, "Causing General Danger" of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The suspects are charged with starting a fire on April 10, 2020, in the locality of Šćipe, while clearing weeds, which spread to surrounding areas and caused significant material damage.
