Employment growth of 1.1 percent and industrial production growth of 10.9 percent in FBiH!

The number of employed people in the Federation of BiH in February this year was 1.1 percent higher than in the same month last year, it was announced today by the Government of the Federation of BiH, which is holding a session in Mostar, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). Basic statistical indicators for the first quarter of this year were analyzed.

- In FBiH, at the end of February 2014, there were 438,011 employed persons registered. At the end of February 2010 (the last year of operation of the previous Government), the number of employed persons was 423,557. Therefore, the number of employed persons at the end of February 2014 is 3.4 percent higher compared to February 2010 - states the FBiH Government.

They add that the employment growth rate in February 2014 compared to the same month in 2013 is 1.1 percent (the number of employed persons in February 2013 was 433,439).

- For comparison, in February 2010, compared to the same month of the previous year (the number of employed persons in February 2009 was 428,765), a decrease in the number of employed persons of 5,208 or 1.2 percent was achieved - say the FBiH Government, reports NAP.

In the first three months of 2014, an increase in the physical volume of industrial production of 10.9 percent was also achieved compared to the same period in 2010. In the first quarter of 2014, compared to the same period in 2013, industrial production increased by 5.1 percent.

- Exports of goods from FBiH in this period amounted to 1,374 million KM, which is 35.6 percent more compared to the first quarter of 2010. In the first quarter of 2014, imports of goods increased by 30.6 percent compared to the same period in 2010. The coverage of imports by exports also increased and in the reporting period it is 58 percent (in the first quarter of 2010 - 55.8 percent), which is 3.9 percent higher compared to the first quarter of 2010 - it was emphasized, NAP reports.
